    Editor’s Letter: Spring/Summer 2020 Issue

Whew.  With the days getting longer and the sun’s warmth shining down on us, I wanted to reach out (beyond my office window) and reconnect.  Summer approaches, and we’re looking forward to breathing deeply, reconnecting with our friends and family, and yes, finally getting married!

While we must continue to be diligent and practise physical distancing (for now), I know many of you have had their plans upended and have anxiously shifted celebrations to a later date in the year.  You may have put off planning altogether, and I don’t think any of us blame you. These are extraordinary times and God willing, will be a distant memory.

With that in mind, I wanted to take a moment of levity and take about some trends we’re seeing in décor and introduce you to some of my most trusted industry partners. Professionals from every part of Toronto’s spectrum of wedding suppliers. Together, we have assembled a bevvy of insider tips geared towards making your decision making and planning process seem effortless. There are some valuable offers too so be sure to read through!

As I contemplate of the second half of the year, I can’t help but think how timely Pantone’s Colour of the Year, Classic Blue, is. It’s about calm, it’s about fortitude (Blue Steel!), and it’s about being optimistic.

On that tip, I’ve curated an editorial of ways you can infuse Classic Blue into your décor. It’s sort of a new neutral that pairs beautifully with everything from blush to violet. Hopefully, there’s something in this issue that inspires you to think of what can be this year.

    So like Ella Fitzgerald sings,

    Blue days

    All of them gone

    Nothing but blue skies,

    From now on

    And how!
